The VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (QCF) is a practical-based qualification intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment, and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (i.e. workshop, classroom or other training environment).

Units in this qualification have been mapped to the relevant NOS (where applicable). This qualification is accredited on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).Â

Entry onto this qualification: the learner will need to have full competence in the vocational subject that they are going to assess on and access to learners.

This qualification is Level 3 certificate offered by VTCT in Assessing Vocational Achievement. This qualification requires learners to develop a greater breadth of skills and will benefit any teacher/Salon owner that may also have covered a business certificate or any one involved in the assessing of vocational based qualifications.

What does this qualification cover?

This qualification has been specifically designed for the 19+ age groups, learners will have their skills assessed in a real or realistic working environment.

This qualification will require research, it includes understanding the principles and practices of assessment, assessing learners’ occupational competence in the work place and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding – the full list of units is presented in the learner Record of Assessment book (ROA) (specification). These units are mandatory.

What could this qualification lead to?

This qualification provides progression opportunities directly into employment as an assessor of occupational competence in the workplace and vocationally related achievement in non-work environments.
